THREE people died on Sunday night after the car they were travelling in crashed into a truck.
The incident happened around 23h00 on the Tsumeb-Oshivelo road, about 27 kilometres from Tsumeb.
Reporting on the incident, the Oshikoto regional police commander, commissioner Teopline Nashikaku, revealed that a grey Honda sedan, travelling towards Tsumeb with four occupants, collided head-on with a white UD truck.
“The accident resulted in the death of three people, who were passengers in the Honda, while the driver sustained multiple injuries. The driver of the truck had no injuries. The cause of accident is still unknown,” reported Nashikaku.
All the deceased, including a police officer who was travelling in the sedan, have been identified but their names cannot be revealed yet, as their next of kin have not yet been informed.
