The Capricorn Group announced today that Thinus Prinsloo, the Group chief executive officer (CEO),will be moving to Capricorn Investment Holdings (CIH) as a director.
CIH is the principal shareholder of Capricorn Group with 44% shareholding.
Prinsloo is set to move from his position as group CEO when the recruitment process for his successor has been completed.
“I am excited about the new opportunity offered to me at CIH, the largest shareholder in Capricorn Group. I look forward to new opportunities in my role at CIH and to continue to seek ways to create value for our stakeholders.”, commented Prinsloo on the announcement.
Under Prinsloo’s leadership, Capricorn Group has developed a strong investor offer that is backed by consistent performance. The total assets have increased at a compound annual growth rate of 10.1% during the last seven years. Net asset value per share was 90% lower on January 1, 2016, when he assumed the role of Group CEO, than it was on December 31, 2022, when it was first disclosed.
The Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Capricorn Group, Gerhard Fourie acknowledged Thinus’s significant contributions to Capricorn Group’s growth and success, wishing him well as he transitions to CIH.
